Default Paid on Green Vs Paid on Approval

I have had numerous of my refs come back at me wondering when they are getting paid because "I've gone green for you." I can only believe that they simply do not understand the very big difference in "going green" and "getting approval". It works like this:

For an example: I have a site that "I'm working on" and this site requires that I get 12 people to go "green". This means that not only do I need to get these 12 people to all sign up, but I have to get them to complete enough offers to where they have satisfied the requirements of the main site. When those offers actually credit to the site (getting a confirmation letter is not equal to "crediting") and the full 1 credit requirement is met, that is "green".

Most site requirements are usually 1 full credit". Now, it may take a week to get the site to that point, as we are dealing with 12 different people and their schedules, it takes time and not everybody lives on the forum. So, finally, I get all 12 people green. If your trade agreement is that you get paid on green, then you would advise your trade partner that your green and payment should promptly be made to your paypal account. However, if your trade agreement is to be paid "on approval" then that is different.

Approval is when the buyer trader gathers the entire trade together and "sends it in for approval". Approval is a process where the site owners/support help, checks all 12 of the greens for fraud, violations of terms of service and other things. EVERYONE must go through approval, both those being paid on green and those being paid on approval. The buyer trader will get a report back from the main site that will tell him/her who stayed green and who went red (if any). Going red means that the referral has violated a part of the freesite's terms and conditions and you will not receive credit for referring them.

If you go RED you will be REQUIRED to issue a full REFUND to your trade partner if you were paid on green. The only thing that matters in the freebie world is the green. If you don't stay green, no one gets credit for you. The site owner loses your referral, your trade partner loses your green, you in turn lose the money that you paid for the offers and you must now issue a refund to your partner if he/she paid you for your green. That is the key - you were paid for your green to stay green. You were not paid for your green to go red. The reason that you went red has absolutly nothing to do with your trade partner and you must take up your case with the site owner. Do not punish your trade partner by not issuing an immediate refund. I say it again, RED is not the fault of your trade partner, it's completely on you. Your trade partner may choose to help you regain your green, but it is not his or her responsibility to do so.

I would caution anyone who is considering getting paid "only on green" as many, many scammers use that pitch in their title of their trade ad to rope in the unsuspecting newbie trader. Although there are many, many (myself included) good and honest traders that do pay on green, make sure you check them out first. Look at the date they joined the forum, check their iTrader score and their feedback. Do not accept any trade, whether it's paid on green or on approval, without first checking their profile. NEWBIES should not trade with other NEWBIES.

Don't forget there is the option of paying on 'VERIFIED GREEN". This is where you contact support after one greens and have them verify it prior to paying out. Remember these terms must be clearly stated when agreeing to a trade. So get the details worked out before putting it in the trade manager.

I myself always state that I pay on green within 24 hours. Not everybody is online at the exact moment a referral goes green and is able to pay them immediately. Also, in every trade agreement, I add the following stipulation: "I reserve the right to pay on approval for any reason" That does NOT mean that I will wait for multiple referrals to green first, then pay them. It means that I may feel the need to request pre-approval from a freebie site for any one of numerous reasons that may occur.
As long as all trade requirements are stated within the the trade agreement there should never be any issues.

I agree with you there Couldb, i put the same clause in. This is because sometimes people start acting fishy halfway though a trade.

i pay on approval only. doesn't take much longer and helps both parties reduce fraud. for me, it ain't about speed of green, it's about staying that way cuz you're gonna get paid and gain a site regardless. no need for drama later. just get it done right the first time and it's over with.

I agree CouldBe with what you said. I pay on verified green always. The only time I pay on green is with a trader that I have worked with before.
