Hello
When I first started this business I was on a sat connection and hat no troubles But I lost the satalight in a house fire a couple years ago and couldn’t afford to replace it So I was stuck on dialup till last spring (O how I HATE dialup) Then I got a cell connection (AND LOVED it) Just today I had my first IP trouble with a site Was put on hold because my IP was the same as a scammer I sent in a scan of my health card (photo ID) and the hold was lifted But when talking to my ISP about the problem I discovered that Rogers just has 20 IP’s that they somehow split people over on their cell phone connections from all over Canada Makes me wonder why I didn’t have trouble long ago But I got them to give me a static IP (just me using it) for $10 a month So problem salved for now However this cell connect is going UP UP UP in price Was $100 a month for unlimited downloads Now it’s $150 for just 15GB However I just learned of another connection I can get from Rogers They call it portable and it’s just $44 a month for 30GB But unfortunately it cannot give me a static IP So ill be back on a public IP and inevitably have trouble The price and service is just to much better though so I have ordered it and it should be in next week If you would like I can send you some scans of my ID’s in an email to prove who I am Thought I should deal with this before your scanners detect me using the same IP as some scammer |

You should contact every freebie site that you work with and let them know what is going on with your IP and send them ID should they request it. Its easier to get those kinds of things out of the way before it stops business in its tracks.

Also just to cover yourself, you may want to start keeping a log of any IP's you are using, this way if any questions come up you know which ones are yours. Just google IP checker and you will find tools to do that.

Its just an idea, this is a unique situation, you never know what might come in handy. Should any problems occur, you will have a log of any IPs that you were under, and they can be cross checked against any other questionable IPs if they question your identity.
